  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded (plus extra for topping)
  • 6 strips cooked bacon chopped
  • 8 oz ziti or rigatoni pasta
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp ketchup optional, for a burger-style kick
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing

Method
 

  1. Boil pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cooked pasta, beef broth, milk or cream, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Mix until creamy and evenly coated.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with extra shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cooked bacon.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

You can swap ziti or rigatoni with any short pasta you have. Add mustard or pickles for an extra cheeseburger twist!
