This Cajun Chicken Orzo is a one-pan creamy comfort dish packed with bold spice, tender chicken, and rich flavor. A quick weeknight dinner that's satisfying and simple to make!
Step 1: Toss chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in tomato paste and paprika, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 4: Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in orzo and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Step 5: Stir in heavy cream. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
You can add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra color and nutrients. Adjust the Cajun spice level to your heat preference.
