Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2.5 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Toss chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
  • Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Step 3: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in tomato paste and paprika, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Step 4: Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in orzo and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Step 5: Stir in heavy cream. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
  • Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

You can add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra color and nutrients. Adjust the Cajun spice level to your heat preference.
