A cheesy, indulgent pasta bake combining all the flavors of a classic sloppy cheeseburger—ground beef, tangy spices, and melty cheddar and mozzarella over hearty penne.
Step 1: Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté onions until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 3: Stir in tomato paste, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
Step 4: Pour in beef broth and milk. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 5: Stir in cheddar cheese and half of the mozzarella until melted and smooth.
Step 6: Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly. Transfer to a baking dish if desired.
Step 7: Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top and broil for 2–3 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Step 8: Garnish with parsley or chives and serve hot.
Notes
Customize with diced pickles or a drizzle of ketchup and mustard for full cheeseburger vibes. Great for meal prep and family dinners!
