Ingredients

  • 12 oz Bowtie Pasta (Farfalle) The unique shape holds the creamy sauce, giving each bite a delicious, saucy texture.
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Adds flavor and a hearty texture; use lean ground beef for a lighter option.
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Used for cooking the beef, garlic, and onion.
  • 1 small, diced Onion Adds sweetness and depth to the sauce.
  • 2 cloves, minced Garlic Provides aromatic flavor that pairs well with the creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Creates a rich, smooth sauce that coats the pasta perfectly.
  • ½ cup, freshly grated Parmesan Cheese Adds a nutty, cheesy flavor that thickens the sauce.
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning A blend of herbs that enhances the sauce’s savory flavor.
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste) Essential for balancing the flavors in the dish.

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 12 oz of bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain the pasta, reserving ½ cup of pasta water in case you need to thin the sauce later. Set the pasta aside.
  • Cook the Beef and Aromatics
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 lb of ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Once the beef is cooked, add 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened and translucent.
  • Season and Add Cream
Season the beef mixture with 1 tsp Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well to coat the beef and onion in the seasonings.
Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring until combined. Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes, allowing the cream to thicken slightly.
  • Add Parmesan and Combine with Pasta
Gradually add ½ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve and Enjoy
Serve the Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley if desired. Pair it with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
