- In a skillet, heat oil or butter over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and cracked black pepper.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- Spoon the creamy chicken mixture over cooked white rice. Top with chopped parsley and a dash of extra pepper if desired.
