  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta dry
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or half-and-half
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets small
  • ½ tsp paprika optional
  • fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Sear the Chicken:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet, season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until golden. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics:
    In the same pan, melt butter and cook garlic for 1 minute.
  3. Cook the Orzo:
    Stir in orzo, broth, and milk. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add Broccoli:
    Toss in the broccoli florets, cover, and cook for 4–5 more minutes until tender.
  5. Make It Creamy:
    Stir in cheese and paprika. Return chicken to the pan and mix everything until well coated.
  6. Serve:
    Top with fresh parsley and enjoy warm!
