Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Tongs
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. Step 2: Season chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In the same skillet, melt butter and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from pan.
  3. Step 3: In the skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Step 4: Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Sprinkle bacon over top and simmer for another 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Step 5: Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot with your favorite sides like rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies.
