Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz steak sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz noodles lo mein or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
  • 3 green onions chopped, for garnish
For the Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Equipment

  • Small Saucepan
  • Pot for Noodles
  • Tongs or Spatula

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Step 3: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Step 4: Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to skillet. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side, until pink and fully cooked.
  5. Step 5: Add cooked noodles, steak, and teriyaki sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  6. Step 6: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

You can swap steak for chicken or tofu. Add bell peppers or broccoli for more veggies. Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce saltiness.
